Japanese car maker Nissan will display its Leaf electric car at the 2012 Indian Auto show. The electric family car developed by Nissan is said to be one of the prime attractions in its lineup for the major auto show. The Leaf small car is considered to be the competitor for Chevrolet's Volt electric car.
Chevrolet, apart from Volt electric car, is looking forward to promote its recently developed electric versions of the hatchbacks, Spark and Beat. Nissan Leaf which is available for sale in US, Europe and Japanese markets is hitting good sales record overall, and mainly the feedback from the customers are overwhelming.
In a bid to capitalize on this, Nissan has planned to yield Indian crowd towards the Leaf electric family sized car. However, the availability of electric charging stations in India is less. Though this is the case, Nissan's promotions of the Leaf electric car might be a futuristic move to occupy the leadership in electric car segment.
Apart from the electric car, the Japanese auto major will be introducing its Nissan GTR racing car at the Indian Auto show. The high performance race car has earned good reviews through its performance in the German racing event. Nissan GTR is considered to be one of the fastest cars on the road.
